Part of each other for 19 years

For nineteen years Oscar Merodio Saiz, project manager at Arrowline, has been part of the company, and Arrowline has been part of him. In January 2020 the company turns 25. Oscar witnessed the growth: from a small business with a single van to a specialist in transport, logistics and support within a European network. We spoke with Oscar about healthy growth, supply chain transparency and keeping pace with the times.

A European network

In 1995 Arrowline started out modestly in a small warehouse. By now the company has been a primary supplier to a major parcel carrier for nearly 25 years and also serves other multinationals. For that first client they began with a transport assignment in the Hoofddorp region. Over time the logistics challenge was added as well. In 2001 they relocated to Amsterdam and slowly but surely grew into a multifunctional, ambitious and customer-focused organisation with a European network. Alongside their own transport and logistics activities, they coordinate national and international transports and unburden customers from A to Z, including in reporting and analysis. Their specialty is the road train, a sustainable transport solution, ten of which are deployed on the roads every day by skilled and certified staff.

A connecting logistics expert

Today Arrowline is regarded as a reliable, certified logistics provider, one that transparently handles logistics from A to Z. They are rock solid at optimising various processes. Through this improvement in productivity they maintain the right quality and achieve cost control. They map out connections purposefully and position the links in the right place, and from their broad network they bring different parties together. They believe that one plus one can be three. In a single sentence, they are the connecting logistics expert that delivers on the challenge by staying distinctive end to end.

A deal is a deal

Arrowline promises full supply chain transparency, and its motto is: a deal is a deal. When they say yes, they mean yes, and not perhaps not after all if something better comes along. Naturally, they therefore work only with reliable partners who pursue the same quality standard. In that way they aim for long-term relationships and the highest achievable result for all their customers.

Efficiency with the transport system

To deliver on these promises, efficient communication and workflow are indispensable according to Oscar. In the past mostly face to face, and nowadays increasingly digital, transparent and reliable. Some time ago he was looking for a user-friendly and workable package that could provide Arrowline with the right support. He spoke with various parties and struck up a conversation with FiLogic at an IT trade fair. Before long they were sitting around the table and started with a trial, and what he saw pleased him. The basic package alone brought them a real leap in efficiency.

Two-way traffic and growing together

The collaboration between Arrowline and FiLogic is best described, according to Oscar, as two-way traffic. They operate in a line of work in which several FiLogic customers can be found, and what concerns them often concerns those others too. When they come up with smart system suggestions, FiLogic is always willing to think along and to adjust where necessary, and in that way FiLogic offers them the flexibility they look for in a partner. In the years ahead Arrowline wants to expand further. The service they offer to various multinationals they also want to bring to the attention of other parties.
